There are four diagnostic methods in TCM: seeing, smelling, asking and cutting.Hope comes first. In the inspection, the tongue coating, tongue texture and tongue color are the most important. The tongue is directly or indirectly connected with the five Zang Fu organs through meridians. The tongue is the seedling of the heart. The tendons and other collaterals of the heart meridian are all attached to the tongue. The physiological function and pathological changes of the heart can be measured by observing the tongue. The corresponding spleen and stomach in the tongue all reflect the lesions of the spleen and stomach in the middle energizer. The base of the tongue corresponds to the kidney, reflecting the lesions of the lower Jiao. The two sides of the tongue correspond to liver and gallbladder, reflecting the pathological changes of liver and gallbladder. It can be seen from the above that all five zang organs are rooted in the heart. Through the meridians, yin and Yang channels of hands and feet are connected to the tongue. Just as Fu naihan in the Qing Dynasty stated in the preface to Tongzhi of tongue fetus: "covering the tongue is the general use of the five zang organs and six Fu organs, such as the opening up of the heart is the tongue, the stomach and pharynx are connected to the tongue, the spleen vein is connected with the tongue, the heart vein is connected to the tongue root, the spleen collaterals are connected to the tongue, and the kidney and Liver Collaterals are also connected to the tongue. The heart of the husband is the house of gods and the master of the five zang organs; the stomach is the sea of water and grain, and the source of six Fu; the spleen is the master of Zhongzhou, and the four Zang organs are irrigated by the heart. Therefore, the tongue distinguishes the deficiency, excess, cold and heat of Zang Fu organs, just like the differentiation of yin and Yang between exterior and interior of Qi and mouth. "

The so-called "map tongue" in tongue image is called "flower stripping moss" in traditional Chinese medicine."Map tongue" as its name implies, is the uneven stripping of tongue coating on the surface of the tongue, like a map like tongue coating. The tongue is outside the spleen, and the moss is on the stomach qi. Therefore, the "map tongue" is closely related to the spleen and stomach function of the body. Because children have the physiological characteristics of "spleen is often insufficient", the "map tongue" is often found in children. This kind of situation appears in the birth, also has the later formation. When a child's parents see that there are several round or oval erythematous areas on their children's tongue, and there is a circle of white raised edges around them, which are winding and irregular in shape, they will have a special question mark in their hearts. What is this?Is it harmful to children?Modern medicine ascribes this problem to oral disease, which is called benign vagrant glossitis. It is believed that it is related to indigestion, intestinal parasites and vitamin B deficiency in children. Many careful parents will find that children are prone to "map tongue" when they have a cold or indigestion. After the recovery of gastrointestinal function, the "map tongue" disappeared miraculously.

From the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine, "map tongue" mainly explains the dysfunction of spleen and stomach. This is mainly due to postnatal loss of nourishment. Parents often give their children raw and cold, fried, sweet and greasy food, or the imbalance between hunger and fullness, which leads to the loss of spleen and stomach.Thick and thin tongue coating can reflect the severity of the disease. The spleen and stomach are the foundation of the day after tomorrow. Therefore, the presence or absence of tongue coating also reflects the healthy qi of the human body. The exfoliation of the tongue coating in children shows that the Qi of the spleen and stomach is weak and the healthy qi is insufficient."Map tongue" appears, generally without great pain, but often accompanied by poor food intake, pale complexion, night terrors, loose stool or constipation, easy to catch a cold and other symptoms.

So, what are the syndrome differentiation types of traditional Chinese medicine after children appear "map tongue"?How to treat it?TCM generally divides it into spleen stomach qi deficiency type and Qi Yin deficiency type. The main symptoms of spleen and stomach qi deficiency can be seen as follows: the spleen qi is weak, the stomach qi is insufficient, and there is no moss. Therefore, the tongue coating is peeled off. If the Qi of the spleen and stomach is slightly filled, the coating will disappear. If the Qi of the spleen and stomach is deficient, the fur will be stripped again. The spleen deficiency is caused by dereliction of duty, mental fatigue and anorexia.Qi deficiency outside the Wei is not solid, moving is sweating. It is easy to catch a cold because of the sparse reason and external evil attacking the surface. The tongue is light and the pulse is thin and soft.Buzhong Yiqi Decoction was selected for treatment. This prescription is an important prescription for regulating spleen and stomach, replenishing qi and Promoting Yang.In the prescription, Astragalus membranaceus is used to tonify the middle Qi and invigorate Qi, ginseng is used to invigorate the spleen and dry dampness, tangerine peel is used to invigorate Qi and invigorate the spleen, Angelica sinensis is used to nourish blood and regulate camp, bupleurum and Cimicifuga rise in Yang and depression, and liquorice is used to harmonize various drugs. The main symptoms of Qi and yin deficiency type can be seen as follows: Qi deficiency leads to mental fatigue and fine pulse.Shengmai Powder was selected for treatment. This prescription is an important prescription for replenishing qi and tonifying spleen, gathering Yin and generating fluid. There are only three kinds of herbs in the prescription. Ginseng can nourish vital energy, Ophiopogon japonicus can nourish yin and produce fluid, clear heat and eliminate vexation. Schisandra chinensis can firm astringency, stop perspiration and calm the mind.

While taking traditional Chinese medicine, we should pay attention to daily life.Have enough water, vegetables and fruits every day.Eat more protein containing foods, such as fish, eggs, milk and so on.Food with high zinc content is also helpful for the improvement of maptongue.
